HSA/FSA eligible at ThyRed
Use your HSA or FSA funds on ThyRed through our partner Truemed. Pick Truemed at checkout, answer a few health questions, and qualified customers pay with pre-tax dollars — an average saving of 30%*.

Is ThyRed HSA/FSA eligible?
Yes — through our partnership with Truemed, ThyRed has been confirmed HSA/FSA eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity. Select Truemed at checkout, spend about a minute on a short health form, and enter your HSA/FSA card. An independent licensed practitioner reviews it within 24–48 hours; once your Letter of Medical Necessity is issued the payment goes through, so pre-tax dollars cover the purchase — an average saving of 30%*.
How paying with HSA/FSA works
Choose Truemed at checkout
Add ThyRed to your cart as usual, then pick Truemed from the payment methods at checkout.
Answer a few health questions
A short health form — around 60 to 90 seconds. Then enter your HSA/FSA card. The card is only authorised at this point, not charged.
Pay with pre-tax dollars
An independent licensed practitioner reviews your form within 24 to 48 hours. If they issue your Letter of Medical Necessity, the payment goes through and your order ships — nothing left to file.
Check out as a guest. Shop Pay and Apple Pay skip the payment-method step entirely, so the Truemed option never appears. If you don't see it, sign out of Shop Pay and check out normally.
Prefer to use a regular card? You can. Truemed will email you step-by-step instructions for submitting the purchase to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement instead.
The ThyRed wearable
A comfortable neck-worn red and near-infrared light wearable (630 / 660 / 830 nm), designed for 20 quiet minutes a day to support your general wellness routine — with EMF kept under 3 mG.

HSA/FSA, answered
What are HSA and FSA funds?
A Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) let you set aside money from your paycheck before taxes for qualified health purchases. Because the money is never taxed, spending it can effectively save you an average of around 30%* compared to paying out of pocket.
How do I pay for ThyRed with my HSA/FSA?
Select Truemed at checkout, complete the short health form, and enter your HSA/FSA card. Truemed authorises the card but only charges it once your Letter of Medical Necessity is issued. You can also pay with a regular card and submit the purchase to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement instead.
What is Truemed?
Truemed is a payment partner that works with licensed providers to evaluate whether a wellness purchase qualifies for HSA/FSA spending. If a provider determines it does, they issue a Letter of Medical Necessity that makes your purchase eligible. Learn more at truemed.com.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?
It's a document from a licensed practitioner stating that a product may support your individual health and wellness. With it, certain wellness purchases — like ThyRed — become eligible for HSA/FSA funds. Truemed's health form and practitioner review handle it for you, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Keep the letter on file for three years, as the IRS requires.
What if I don't qualify?
Not everyone does — it depends on your individual health circumstances. If the practitioner doesn't issue a letter, your HSA/FSA card is never charged and the order is cancelled; you'll get an email explaining it. You're welcome to place the order again with a regular card, and ThyRed's 30-day money-back guarantee applies either way.
I don't see Truemed at checkout — why?
Almost always because you're checking out with Shop Pay or Apple Pay. Accelerated checkouts skip the payment-method step, so Truemed is never offered. Sign out of Shop Pay and check out as a guest and the option appears. HSA/FSA is also US-only, so it won't show on non-US orders.
What if my HSA/FSA balance doesn't cover the full order?
Truemed will prompt you to pay the difference with a regular card. The eligible portion is still paid with pre-tax dollars and the rest goes on your backup card.
Does using HSA/FSA change the price or guarantee?
No. HSA/FSA is a way to pay, not a discount — the price is the same, and your 30-day money-back guarantee and 1-year warranty are unchanged. The saving comes from the tax advantage of your HSA/FSA account, not from the product costing less.
Put your pre-tax dollars toward your quiet twenty
ThyRed is HSA/FSA eligible for qualified customers via Truemed — same device, same 30-day guarantee, an average of 30%* in tax savings.
